Project Overview

The Steinman Foundation and Little Conestoga Creek Foundation, together with public and private partners, have launched one of the largest environmental restoration projects of its kind.

The project has three goals:

  1. To reestablish healthy ecosystems and improve water quality along the impaired Little Conestoga Creek.
  2. To build recreational opportunities with miles of ADA-accessible trails that link the community to parks, entertainment, shopping, and essential services near Lancaster City and its suburbs.
  3. To provide an outdoor learning laboratory for all ages to deepen their understanding of our environment, its history, and ways to help locally.

Our dream is for this project to serve as a catalyst for further environmental restoration in Lancaster County and beyond. The Blue Green Connector will soon welcome the community to discover this beautiful greenway space!
